"We know Salah's qualities and how much he means to football. However, Salah's situation is none of my business," Chivu told Inter Milan's website on Tuesday.
Salah's relationship with Liverpool reportedly broke down following the Egyptian winger's open criticism of his Liverpool manager, Arend "Arne" Slot, and the club. Salah was also left out of the squad to face Inter.
The Romanian coach asked his players not to be careless because Liverpool has a player who can replace Salah's position.
Chivu said Liverpool remains a big, tough club regardless of the conditions that surround them.
"We know their quality. We have to worry about Liverpool as a team. We'll be coming to the pitch with a high level of intensity," said the 45-year-old.
Chivu emphasized that Inter is motivated, united and ready to work hard.
