Manchester City striker Erling Haaland said he never expected to reach 100 goals for the Citizens so quickly, after he scored in their 5-4 win over Fulham in the 14th week of the Premier League at Craven Cottage on Wednesday WIB.
Haaland's goal against Fulham made him the fastest player to score 100 goals in the Premier League, taking just 111 games, 13 quicker than the previous record holder, Alan Shearer.
"Of course, it means a lot. Scoring 100 Premier League goals for City is something I've wanted since I arrived here. But to achieve it this quickly, I didn't expect it. Now that it's happened, I'm incredibly proud. It's a huge deal. When I look back on this moment after my career is over, I'll definitely remember it fondly," Haaland said, as quoted on the club's official website on Wednesday.
His goal against Fulham also took him to 15 Premier League goals, making him the top scorer ahead of Brentford's Igor Thiago on 11 goals.
