Robertus Aditya, COO of the Garudaku Esports platform, believes the 2025 National Esports League 1 is becoming increasingly competitive, as the number of participants increases this season.
According to him, the increase in participation was inseparable from Garudaku's efforts to bring the competition closer to the campus community ecosystem.
"The number of participants has actually increased overall. We're trying to bring the league closer to the ecosystem by moving the location to campus, because we believe the esports ecosystem largely stems from friends who played on campus," said Robertus, as quoted in a written statement on Thursday.
He hopes this approach will strengthen collaboration with the world of education and become a strategic step for long-term development.
On the same occasion, Robertus also congratulated Dewa United Osiris for winning the 2025 National League 1 Esports championship. He called the Tangerang-based team's success the fruit of their three-year struggle.
"This is a huge achievement for Dewa United Osiris, who have been fighting for so long. In their third year in the National Esports League, they finally won the title," he said.
