Eyewitnesses said that Israeli artillery shelling targeted the vicinity of the Al-Fakhura school, which shelters displaced people west of the Jabalia camp, in areas from which the occupation army had previously withdrawn in the northern Gaza Strip, causing panic among the displaced.
The occupation army also carried out an air raid inside areas where it is still stationed east of the Jabalia camp, coinciding with heavy gunfire from military vehicles.
Israeli artillery shelling targeted the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in the eastern part of Gaza City, while other shelling targeted areas occupied by the occupation army east of Juhr al-Dik and Al-Bureij in the central Gaza Strip.
According to witnesses, the central region witnessed gunfire from Israeli helicopters, in addition to an air raid east of the Maghazi camp.
In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on the city of Rafah, in areas where the occupation army is still stationed, in parallel with heavy gunfire from helicopters, without any reports of martyrs or injuries.
This escalation comes within the framework of Israel’s continued violations of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10, and these violations have resulted in the martyrdom of 414 Palestinians and the injury of 1,145 others.
Since October 8, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has continued a war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in more than 71,000 martyrs and 171,000 wounded, in addition to widespread destruction affecting about 90% of the civilian infrastructure, with reconstruction costs estimated by the United Nations at about $70 billion.
