Red Bull driver Max Verstappen admitted he remains proud despite failing to win the 2025 Formula 1 (F1) season after losing points to McLaren driver Lando Norris.Quoted from the official F1 website, Monday, Verstappen explained that he and his team had worked hard to achieve maximum results, but they were unlucky.
"From our side, at least we optimized the weekend perfectly, we got pole position , we won the race in what I think was a dominant way, so there's nothing to say about that," said Verstappen.
"In the end, of course, you lose the title by two points (and that) looks painful, but on the other hand, if you look at the position we were in at Zandvoort, more than 100 points behind, I don't think it's that bad," he continued.
In the final series of the 2025 Abu Dhabi F1 GP, the Dutch racer managed to be the fastest and finished in first place, but that victory was not enough to make him world champion.
