Ten sports originally scheduled for Hat Yai and Mueang Songkhla districts, along with one sport in Chonburi Province, have been approved for relocation to Bangkok.
The ten sports with the potential for 109 gold medals are boxing, pencak silat, football, chess, judo, kabaddi, karate, wrestling, petanque, and wushu, as well as billiards and snooker.
