The Indonesian Sports Association (PP Pordasi) stated that the 2025 Pordasi Equestrian National Championship will be a moment to develop athletes for the 2028 National Sports Week in East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara.
"This National Championship also serves as a road to PON XXII/2028 NTT-NTB, so we ensure that anyone who participates in the National Championship will definitely get a ticket to PON XXII/2028 NTT-NTB," said the General Chairperson of PP Pordasi Equestrian Dewi Larasati, quoted from her official statement,.
Larasti said that her team deliberately chose a class that was not too high to compete in because they wanted to develop young athletes to progress.
"Because of course, their future in equestrian sports, especially equestrian sports, is still very long. We hope they can advance to a higher level, namely international," said Larasati.
