The Deputy Governor of Aceh invites all parties to maintain unity and avoid arrogance.  Aceh Deputy Governor Fadhlullah called on all parties in Indonesia's westernmost province, including the TNI, Polri, GAM, and the community, to maintain unity and avoid arrogance.

"The people of Aceh are in mourning. Let's maintain unity and work together to help the disaster victims. Avoid arrogance," said Fadhlullah in Banda Aceh on Friday.

This statement was made by the Deputy Governor of Aceh, Fadhlullah, in response to the incident between the TNI and Polri with the community in North Aceh Regency on Thursday (25/12) evening.

Fadhlullah regretted what happened between the TNI and Polri with the community in North Aceh Regency while flood disaster victims still needed treatment.

Therefore, the Deputy Governor hopes that all parties will refrain from arrogance and focus on humanitarian efforts for disaster victims.

"We hope that the TNI, Polri, GAM, and the community will unite and remain united in rebuilding the disaster-affected areas," said the former member of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

He also called on all parties to prevent disasters and prioritize good deeds and help communities in a number of areas in Aceh Province affected by the disaster.

The Deputy Governor of Aceh urged the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to exercise restraint and avoid arrogance, and to unite with the community to assist in the recovery of the disaster area.

"We hope a similar incident will not happen again. We also urge everyone to remain united and focused on the humanitarian mission of helping disaster-affected communities," said Fadhlullah.

Meanwhile, Aceh Police Chief Inspector General Marzuki Ali Basyah said the incident between officers and the community in North Aceh occurred due to miscommunication between the parties.

"The parties have also agreed to maintain security and order and help the community resolve flooding issues," said Marzuki Ali Basyah.
