Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi) Meutya Hafid said that the digital space cannot be managed by one party, but requires collaboration between various parties.
According to him, policies will only have an impact if they are implemented together and tested directly in the field.
"The digital world is not a space that can be controlled by one party. Regulations are meaningless without compliance, and policies will have no impact without the involvement of all parties. Synergy is key, especially in a sector as fast-moving as the digital realm," said Meutya in a statement .
He conveyed this at the Digi Wave 2025 event in Central Jakarta. He stated that Digi Wave is positioned as a meeting place between policy direction and reality on the ground.
The forum did not stop at presenting achievements, but directly examined the challenges of national connectivity from concrete experiences.
One example is the handling of telecommunications service disruptions during the floods in Sumatra. At the forum, Meutya expressed her appreciation to Telkomsel, Indosat, and XLSmart for their swift response from the first day of the disaster and their regular communication throughout the recovery process.
