The Minister of PKP requested the support of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) to help disseminate information about FLPP mortgages.

Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) requested support from the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) to help disseminate information regarding the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility Home Ownership Credit (KPR FLPP) program.

According to him, FLPP mortgage is a housing subsidy from the government for Low-Income Communities (MBR), which aims to help people own a home with a fixed interest rate of 5 percent during the tenor period, light installments, and a term of up to 20 years.

"And the down payment is affordable," said Ara in Jakarta, Friday.

Through PWI's support, he hopes that information regarding subsidized housing purchases can reach a wider audience, including journalists, so that they understand the mechanisms for purchasing a safe, legal, and affordable home.

This collaboration is also expected to prevent the public from misinformation regarding housing programs.

As a follow-up, the Central PWI will hold a national outreach event with the Ministry of PKP, the Public Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera), developers, and property agents on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, which will be held from the Central PWI office.

The General Chairperson of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Central Office, Akhmad Munir, explained that this program is highly relevant, considering that PWI has approximately 35,000 members spread throughout Indonesia, who can access the subsidy scheme in accordance with the FLPP mortgage regulations.

With an income of around Rp2–3 million, a journalist can access subsidized housing with installments of around Rp1,080,000 per month.

"We invite the provincial and district/city PWI administrators and all members to participate in this outreach," said Akhmad Munir.
