The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs opens a support post for children affected by the Sumatra floods.
The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) has opened a Psychosocial Support Post for children affected by floods in Sumatra as a safe space to play, learn, and restore their psychological condition during the recovery period.

The first post was opened at the Alhafiz Mosque in Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency. This space serves as an activity center for children who have been unable to return home due to the flooding. They can rest, interact, and participate in various mentoring activities.

Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid, who inspected the post, said that children's psychological recovery is an important part of disaster management.

"This post is focused on children. Because, God willing, after the flood subsides, children won't be able to go about their activities at home. They can play here," Meutya said in a statement .

Meutya said the post has various activities designed to restore the psychological condition of children who have experienced trauma due to the flood disaster.
