The Subang Regent stopped mining trucks operating in violation of regulations.
Subang Regent Reynaldy Putra Andita stopped a number of mining trucks that were passing through in violation of operating hours regulations, while conducting a surprise inspection on the Purwadadi-Sukamandi route, Subang Regency, Wednesday night.

The Regent of Subang, as followed through his Instagram account @reynaldyputraofficial on Thursday, immediately inspected the Purwadadi, Sukamandi, and Pasirbungur routes, following up on reports from residents who were disadvantaged due to severe traffic jams, especially during rush hour.

He found many heavy transport trucks such as soil, sand, stone/split stone, mineral water and waste trucks operating before 20.00 WIB.

"I saw for myself how people were trapped, wasted time, and even endangered their safety simply because of the negligence and non-compliance of some parties," said the Regent, who during the inspection was riding a motorbike alone and admonishing mining truck drivers to pull over and not continue their journey.

The Regent admitted that he was furious and concerned because he had repeatedly reminded the leaders, mining company managers, and drivers in the field about the regulations limiting the operating hours of heavy trucks.

"But there are still some who are stubborn," he said.

Regarding restrictions on mining truck operating hours, Reynaldy has issued Regent Regulation Number 21 of 2025 which has been in effect since June 10, 2025.

Heavy truck operating hours are limited  holidays.

"This isn't about limiting income. It's about protecting people's rights, the safety of our children on the road, and maintaining public order," he emphasized.

The Regent reiterated that the surprise inspection he carried out was not just for show.

"I stand with the people. Let's prove that Subang can be orderly, safe, and conducive," he said.

In the video broadcast on Instagram, a long traffic jam can be seen due to many large trucks operating.

"You're not allowed to go out before eight o'clock, sir. Look, there are so many people stuck in traffic," he said in his Instagram video, which has been watched around 3.4 million times, liked more than 150,000 times, commented on more than 3,300 times, and the link has been shared 984 times.
