Persija Jakarta is welcoming the second half of the season by bringing in Brazilian defender Paulo Ricardo, who previously had a career in Brazil, Switzerland, Finland, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates."I think playing for Persija is a new challenge. It's a different country, a different culture, and perhaps a different kind of football, but it's developing rapidly," said the player, born on July 13, 1993, in a written statement on Thursday.
"The goal, of course, is to become champions. We'll try to do everything we can, give our all on the pitch, and become champions," Paulo continued.
Paulo confirmed that he is ready to compete for a place in the Kemayoran Tigers' defense line.
"I always try to read the situation and make a tackle or intervention at the right moment. Reading the movement of the striker or the ball, reading the situation—I think that's my greatest strength," he said.
