AirAsia and Hyrox promote sports tourism in the Asia Pacific
AirAsia Malaysia has officially partnered with Hyrox Asia Pacific as its official airline partner for 2026 to promote the development of sports tourism and active lifestyles in Southeast Asia and beyond.

AirAsia X Chief Commercial Officer Amanda Woo said that sport has long been an important part of AirAsia's DNA and the partnership with Hyrox comes at the right time, as fitness is increasingly becoming a part of the global lifestyle.

"With AirAsia's network of over 130 destinations and the AirAsia MOVE platform as an integrated solution for flights and hotels, we can provide a more integrated travel experience for sports fans," said Amanda at the launch of the collaboration at the AirAsia KLIA Hangar, Sepang, Malaysia, Friday.

"Through this collaboration, AirAsia hopes to continue strengthening its role in connecting communities through sports and travel."

Since its inception, AirAsia has actively partnered with various global sports platform, ranging from ASEAN football, the SEA Games, to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and has also initiated the AirAsia RedRun initiative, which was introduced last year.

AirAsia's partnership with Hyrox spans over 15 cities across Asia Pacific and is expected to connect the growing Hyrox community with a projected number of over 250,000 athletes by 2026.
