AWS & Exabytes launch cloud initiative in Malaysia
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has signed a 4.3 million ringgit (about 1.06 million US dollars) agreement with Exabytes to equip hundreds of Malaysians, particularly those from low- and middle-income groups, with cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) skills to meet the rapidly growing demand for a digital workforce.

The two parties said in a statement on Thursday (January 22) that under the agreement, AWS will provide funding to Exabytes from 2026 to 2028. The disbursement of funds will be based on measurable program outcomes, including student graduation, AWS certifications achieved, and successful job placement.

The initiative includes robust reporting mechanisms to ensure transparency and monitor the program's social impact.

All graduates who meet performance standards will be able to explore career opportunities through internships and full-time placements at Exabytes and its partner network.
