Bologna were held to a 2-2 draw by 10-man Celtic
  Bologna had to be satisfied with being held to a 2-2 draw by 10-man Celtic in the seventh match of the Europa League phase at the Renato Dall'Ara Stadium, Bologna, Thursday local time.

In this match, Celtic could have taken the lead first through Reo Hatate and Auston Trusty, but Bologna were able to equalize thanks to Thijs Dallinga and Jonathan Rowe, according to UEFA records.

Celtic had to finish the match with 10 men after midfielder Reo Hatate was sent off by the referee for receiving a second yellow card in the 34th minute.

The draw leaves Bologna in 13th place in the Europa League standings with 12 points from seven matches, eight points ahead of Celtic in 23rd place.

Bologna still have a chance to qualify automatically for the Europa League round of 16, while Celtic only have a chance to advance to the play-offs .

Despite playing as the away team, Celtic were able to take an early lead in this match through Reo Hatate's goal after receiving a pass from Daezan Maeda, making the score 1-0 in the sixth minute.

After taking an early lead, Celtic were reduced to 10 men in the 34th minute after Reo Hatate received a second yellow card from the referee and was sent off early.

Having to play with 10 men, Celtic actually managed to double their lead to 2-0 after Arne Engels' free-kick was met by Auston Trusty's header which broke through Bologna's goal in the 40th minute.

Entering the second half, Bologna tried to take advantage of their numerical advantage and they were able to do so in the 58th minute thanks to a goal from Thijs Dallinga whose powerful header broke through Celtic's goal, changing the score to 1-2.

Bologna managed to equalize in the 72nd minute through Jonathan Rowe's goal, which featured an individual effort, making the score 2-2 again.

In the remaining time, Bologna continued to try to score the winning goal, but until the match ended, the score remained 2-2 for both teams.
