Borneo FC returned to the top of the BRI Super League standings after defeating Persis Solo 1-0 in week 18 at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Friday.
In this match, Borneo FC secured a victory over Persis Solo thanks to the only goal scored by Mariano Peralta, according to I.League records.
This victory moved Borneo FC to first place in the Super League standings with 40 points from 18 matches, two points ahead of Persib Bandung in second place who have only played 17 matches.
On the other hand, the defeat means that Persis Solo has not yet moved out of the relegation zone, stuck in 16th place in the standings with 10 points from 18 matches, six points adrift of the safe zone.
Despite being the visiting team, Borneo took the initiative to attack first and even made a threat through Juan Villa, but it still didn't produce results.
