Returning from injury, Tyrone Mings was pleased to help Villa reach the last 16.

  Aston Villa center-back Tyrone Mings is pleased to have helped his team qualify directly for the last 16 of the 2025/2026 Europa League, bypassing the playoffs , after recovering from an injury he has been suffering since October 2025.

"I'm here to contribute. It's important for me to get back playing and maintain my level of play," Mings said, as quoted on the Aston Villa website on Friday.

Mings played the full 90 minutes and captained Aston Villa as they beat Fenerbahce 1-0 at home in the 2025/2026 Europa League in Istanbul on Friday morning WIB. Jadon Sancho scored the only goal of the match (25').

The match against Fenerbahce was Mings' first match since the injury that plagued him since October 2025.
