Jakarta Pertamina Enduro (JPE) coach Bullent Kaslioglu said that inconsistency was the reason his team lost to Bandung bjb Tandamata with a score of 2-3 (25-16, 22-25, 25-22, 18-25, 8-15) in the 2026 Proliga women's competition, Thursday (22/1)."We should have played consistently. If our serve and block were good from the start, they should have been good at the end too," Kaslioglu said after the match, as quoted by Proliga.
The Turkish tactician also emphasized that his team will evaluate their situation. They want to win their next match to continue their path to defending their Proliga title.
In the third series match of the first round of the 2026 Proliga at the Sabilulungan Jalak Harupat Sports Hall, Bandung Regency, JPE and Bandung bjb Tandamata played fiercely from the start.
They traded points, tied at 7-7, 10-10, and 16-16. Ultimately, JPE, with Megawati Hangestri as their main player, won the first set 25-16.
In the second set, Bandung Tandamata, the host, improved their defense and offense. Continuing to rain down sharp shots on JPE, Bandung won the second set 25-22.
However, in the next set, JPE was able to regain control of the game. Having trailed 6-12, JPE was able to close out the third set with a 25-22 lead to take a 2-1 lead.
On the brink of defeat, Bandung Tandamata rallied and defeated JPE 25-18 at the end of the set to force a 2-2 draw.
In the deciding set, Bandung Tandamata's mental toughness proved decisive. With the support of their fans, they defeated JPE 13-7 and secured victory by finishing the fifth set 15-8.
Bandung bjb Tandamata coach, Risco Herlambang, was grateful that his squad won the match because some of his players were sick.
"At first, I was a bit doubtful whether the children could play in such unfit condition," said Risco.
