Men's doubles badminton players Fajar Alfian and Moh. Shohibul Fikri have no problems with the new "25-second rule" implemented at the 2026 Indonesia Masters.
The 25-second rule requires players to serve as soon as possible after the rally limit ends. Players have a maximum of 25 seconds to serve immediately.
"It felt like we hadn't even felt it yet...we were just playing normally, like normal. So we didn't really understand it yet, there wasn't any warning from the referee," said Fikri in a press conference at Istora, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday.
In the round of 32, Fajar/Fikri defeated Taiwanese doubles pair Chen Zhi Ray/Lin Yu Chieh in two straight games 21-16, 21-10.
