Indonesian national futsal team player Firman Ardiansyah admitted he is not afraid of facing anyone in the 2026 Asian Futsal Cup quarterfinals, when his team will face either Thailand or Vietnam in Group B.
Indonesia collected perfect points as they advanced to the quarter-finals, after winning their second Group A match at the Indonesia Arena, Jakarta, Thursday, against Kyrgyzstan with a score of 5-3.
"Yes, we'll fight anyone in the top eight, we're not afraid. Whether it's Thailand or Vietnam, we'll fight them," said Firman in the mixed zone of the Indonesia Arena on Thursday.
Thailand and Vietnam are the only teams from Group B to have collected full points, having both won their two matches in the preliminary round.
Thailand is currently at the top of the standings after having a better goal difference of plus seven, while Vietnam is in second place because their goal difference is lower at plus three.
The quarterfinal opponents will be determined in the final match on Saturday (January 31) at the Indonesia Arena, where Indonesia will face Iraq, who both have six points, while Thailand will face Vietnam. The top-placed team in Group A will face the runner-up in Group B, while the winner of Group B will face the runner-up in Group A.
