Morocco reports Senegal's walkout to FIFA
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) will report the Senegalese national team's walkout incident in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final.

This step was taken after the final match in Rabat was marked by a walkout by Senegalese players who protested the penalty decision for the hosts.

"The Royal Moroccan Football Federation announces that it will take legal action through the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and FIFA to issue a ruling on the action of the Senegalese national team leaving the pitch in the final match against the Moroccan national team, as well as the events that followed that decision, after the referee awarded a penalty that was deemed correct by all experts," the FRMF said, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo on Tuesday.

The FRMF emphasized that the situation had a significant impact on the course of the match and the performance of the Moroccan players.

In the match held early Monday morning WIB, Morocco lost 0-1 to Senegal after going through extra time.

Morocco had a golden opportunity to secure the title at the end of normal time.

The opportunity came after the referee, following a VAR review, awarded Morocco a penalty for a foul involving a pull on the shoulder of striker Brahim Diaz.
