PLN IP has deployed 4,882 personnel to welcome the New Year 2026.

   PT PLN Indonesia Power (PLN IP) has put 4,882 personnel on standby to welcome the 2026 New Year celebrations throughout the country.

PLN Indonesia Power Corporate Secretary Agung Siswanto, in his statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, said the standby personnel consisted of 1,623 operational personnel, 675 maintenance personnel, and 2,584 corporate security personnel.

"To support a rapid response in the field, 33 fire engines, 25 ambulances, various supporting equipment, and sufficient spare materials are on standby," he said.

In addition, as many as 76 Power Plant Reliability Alert Posts are operated, spread throughout the PLN Indonesia Power work area.

The net power capacity prepared is 20,900 megawatts (MW), with a supply capacity of 19,228 MW and an average generator reliability level ( availability factor ) of 92 percent.

"A total of 443 generating units spread across 43 business units are on standby to ensure the generation system continues to operate reliably and stably," he also said.

From the power plant side, Agung added, primary energy readiness is also in a safe condition.

The average coal stock reaches 23 days of power plant operation (HOP), LNG 12 HOP, and fuel 20 HOP, so that power plant operations can continue without interruption during the long year-end holiday period.

Agung added that through this comprehensive preparedness, PLN Indonesia Power affirms its commitment to providing reliable, safe, and sustainable electricity, so that people can celebrate Christmas 2025 and welcome the New Year 2026 with comfort, warmth, and joy.

Previously, PLN IP stated its full readiness to maintain the reliability of the national electricity supply through an Electricity Alert Roll Call led by PT PLN (Persero) President Director Darmawan Prasodjo.

This standby roll call was also attended by the Director of Gas Plant Operations of PLN Indonesia Power Purnomo, and the Director of Coal Plant Operations of PLN Indonesia Power M Hanafi Nur Rifai, along with electrical standby personnel at the Reliability, Efficiency, Optimization, Center (REOC) and all PLN Indonesia Power work units from various parts of the country.
