Former Spanish national team captain and Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos is reportedly one step closer to becoming the new owner of Sevilla.
According to a report by Football Espana on Monday, the Spanish club's acquisition process has entered the final stages of appointing a new owner.
Previously, a consortium from the United States led by Antonio Lappi and Fede Quintero had been a strong candidate to become Sevilla's new owner.
However, the process hit a deadlock, paving the way for Ramos, a former Sevilla player, to step forward as the main bidder
In this project, Ramos collaborated with Martin Ink, an Argentinian businessman and CEO of Five Eleven Capital, a US-based football holding company.
