Sudanese paramilitaries expressed regret on Monday after clashes with the Chadian army on the border. The fighting reportedly cost the lives of seven Chadian soldiers.
According to N'Djamena, members of the Sudanese FSR crossed the Chadian border on Thursday, the clash came when Chadian troops asked them to leave.
While the Rapid Support Forces speak of an ‘’involuntary’’ error during an operation which actually targeted elements of the Sudanese army who came from Chad to "sow discord’’ before taking the key to the fields.
Sudan has been in the grip of war since April 2023. It pits General Daglo's paramilitaries against the army led by General Al-Burhan. Around a million Sudanese have found refuge in Chad since the start of the conflict.
