The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it is still investigating the involvement of members of Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2019-2024 period other than Sudewo (SDW) in the alleged bribery case regarding the construction and maintenance of railway lines within the Directorate General of Railways at the Ministry of Transportation.
"We will continue to investigate this," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK's Red and White Building.
Meanwhile, he said the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) views the naming of Sudewo as a suspect in the Ministry of Transportation's DJKA case as a possible entry point for investigating the involvement of members of Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) for the 2019-2024 period.
"We can also investigate whether other council members played roles in projects at the DJKA. Are there also allegations of other money flowing to council members in Commission V? Of course, we will continue to investigate this and look into it," he said.
However, he said the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) is currently focusing on Sudewo first after naming him as the next suspect in the Ministry of Transportation's DJKA case.
"Currently, we are still focusing on naming SDW as a suspect in the DJKA case," he explained.
