The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) searched Thariq Megah's house to investigate procurement by the Madiun PUPR Service.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the house of a suspect in the alleged gratification case involving the inactive Madiun Mayor Maidi (MD), namely Thariq Megah (TM), to investigate the procurement mechanism at the Madiun City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency.

"Of course, this is to delve deeper into the procurement mechanisms in Madiun City, especially those within the authority of the PUPR Agency," said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK's Red and White Building, Jakarta, Thursday.

Furthermore, Budi explained that the search was also carried out considering the construction of the case involving Maidi and the inactive Head of the Madiun City PUPR Service, Thariq Megah.

"Looking at the construction of yesterday's case, there are allegations of project fees (rewards, ed.) requested by the Mayor from private parties or vendors working on projects in Madiun City," he said.

Previously, on January 19, 2026, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) conducted a sting operation (OTT) against Maidi.

On the same date, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) revealed an OTT against Maidi related to project rewards and corporate social and environmental responsibility (CSR) funds in Madiun City.

On January 20, 2026, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) announced that three people had been named as suspects following the OTT, namely the Mayor of Madiun Maidi (MD), Rochim Ruhdiyanto (RR) as Maidi's confidant, and the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency of Madiun City, Thariq Megah (TM).

The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) also announced that there were two clusters in the alleged extortion case using the modus operandi of project rewards and CSR funds, as well as other receipts or gratuities within the Madiun City Government.

First, the alleged extortion involving suspects Maidi and Rochim Ruhdiyanto. Second, the alleged gratification involving suspects Maidi and Thariq Megah.
