"In November, we received information regarding the plan, and then the developments continued until yesterday's arrest," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK's Red and White Building .
Meanwhile, Budi explained that the sting operation (OTT) against Sudewo began with a public complaint report received by the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK).
"Then, based on the complaint report, we reviewed, verified, and analyzed it, and then we obtained information about the alleged transaction plan," he said.
The transaction that Budi was referring to concerned alleged extortion related to filling village official positions in Pati Regency, Central Java.
