"Preparations for the 2026 PDN operation can begin, as we received a letter on January 14, 2026, confirming that limited operations are now possible. Therefore, we need to report that PDN 1 is already operating on a limited basis," said Meutya during a working meeting with Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Monday.
Mira Tayyiba, Director General of Digital Government Technology at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, explained that her agency had undergone a feasibility and security test for PDN 1 conducted by the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) from July to December 2025.
The trial phase aims to comprehensively ensure the level of security readiness of PDN 1 in the context of initial operational initiation from the management governance aspect, functionality aspect, and implementation side.
"The assessment is divided into two stages, the design assessment stage and the implementation stage," said Mira.
