Yamaha unveils the V4-powered YZR-M1 for the 2026 MotoGP season  The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team officially launched the V4 engine era in the 2026 MotoGP season by launching the latest YZR-M1 motorcycle and new livery at a launch event held in Jakarta, marking a major transformation for the Japanese manufacturer.

General Manager of Yamaha Motor's Motor Sports Development Division and President of Yamaha Motor Racing Takahiro Sumi said that 2026 is the beginning of a new chapter that demands discipline, data, and dedication from all elements of Yamaha.

"2026 marks the beginning of Yamaha's V4 era. This is a chapter that demands discipline, data, and dedication from everyone, from the factory in Japan, Yamaha Motor Racing in Italy, to the race team and test team," said Sumi at the launch of the YZR-M1 motorcycle for Yamaha Monster Energy riders Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins.
