Al Hussein and Al Wasl advanced to the quarter-finals of the Asian Champions League II after eliminating their opponents in the round of 16, Tuesday evening local time.
Jordanian club Al Hussein defeated Iranian team Esteghlal FC 3-2 at Amman International Stadium, Amman, according to AFC records.
Al Hussein won thanks to three goals from Ali Hajabi, Yousef Abu Al Jazar and Obieda Al Namarneh, while Esteghlal FC replied with two goals from Jasir Asani.
Thanks to this victory, Al Hussein qualified for the quarter-finals with a 4-2 aggregate after winning 1-0 in the first leg in Tehran.
United Arab Emirates club Al Wasl also won, defeating Iraqi club Al Zawraa 4-2 in the second leg at Zabeel Stadium in Zabeel.
