Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori is confirmed to be ready to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League match, after being declared recovered from the fitness problem that had prevented him from appearing in the FA Cup.
Citing Sky Sport, Calafiori was previously scheduled to be in the starting line-up when Arsenal faced Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup but the defender withdrew shortly before the match started due to sudden physical problems.
This incident marked the fourth time this season that an Arsenal player has suffered a physical issue before kick-off. William Saliba previously suffered an ankle injury before the match against Liverpool in September.
Bukayo Saka withdrew from the squad against Leeds in January, and Calafiori also suffered a similar problem ahead of the Brighton game in December.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has stressed the importance of evaluating the warm-up injury incidents that have occurred again this season.
Arteta acknowledged the situation was unusual and a concern for the coaching staff. "It's probably only happened once or twice in my six years here, and now it's happened four times. So obviously we're looking at it," he said.
