The Garena Game Jam 3 competition was held to support the development of gaming talent in Indonesia.
In the competition held in Jakarta from February 6 to 8, 2026, young game developers from among students and college students competed to create a game within 48 hours.
"Garena Game Jam is part of our long-term commitment to supporting the development of Indonesian gaming talent ," said Garena Indonesia Country Head Hans Saleh.
"The involvement of more Garena teams globally in this edition reflects Garena's ongoing efforts to share global experience and capabilities to strengthen the readiness of young Indonesian talent to meet industry needs," he explained.
According to Hans, Garena Game Jam 3 also serves as a platform for the transfer of knowledge and experience between developers.
The Global Game Incubation and Global Game Developer teams were present at the event to judge and provide guidance to all participants.
Garena Game Jam 3 was attended by 150 participants including schoolchildren, college students, and recent graduates who successfully passed the selection process.
This competition challenges participants to work together to overcome challenges and develop a game within 48 hours.
The winners of Garena Game Jam 3: Reinvent the Game will receive prizes totaling Rp30 million and the opportunity to participate in Garena Indonesia's game incubation program.
In this program, Garena will assist in the development of game products up to the publishing stage if needed.
