Yamaha Sports Director Maio Meregalli admitted that it was difficult to increase engine power on the Yamaha M4 motorbike.
Maio Meregalli revealed that the current Yamaha bike boasts excellent stability but lacks speed. However, engine development is still not at its peak, as the Japanese factory team is experiencing several obstacles.
"The part we need to improve is speed, because this bike is already very comfortable to ride, and its balance is good. Performance-wise, it's not bad either," Moregalli said, as quoted by Motorsports on Monday.
Yamaha underwent a pre-season test session in Sepang earlier this month in less than optimal conditions.
