In his first comeback game, Tatum recorded 15 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists despite not being fully recovered. Tatum played 27 minutes, with the coaching staff gradually adjusting the duration through short five- to six-minute sessions each quarter.
According to the NBA, this was Tatum's first appearance since sustaining a serious injury in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the New York Knicks in May of last year.
Despite struggling early in the match, Tatum failed to convert his first six shots, but he still actively contributed by opening up space and creating opportunities for his teammates.
Jaylen Brown was the Celtics' main offensive engine, scoring 24 points, digging seven rebounds, and digging seven assists. Brown's impressive performance secured Boston's fourth win in five games.
Derrick White made a crucial contribution to Boston's victory with 20 points.
