Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) put in a dominant performance, defeating Chelsea 3-0 in the second leg of the 2025/26 Champions League round of 16.
This result ensured Les Parisiens advanced to the quarter-finals with an aggregate score of 8-2 in the match which took place at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday morning WIB, as reported on the official UEFA website.
PSG, who were already leading 5-2 from the first leg, immediately opened the scoring after just six minutes of play.
Mamadou Sarr's error in anticipating Matvey Safonov's long pass was exploited by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to score with a shot into the bottom right corner of the goal that goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was unable to block.
PSG doubled their lead in the 15th minute. A swift counter-attack was finished off by Bradley Barcola with a volley into the top left corner after receiving Achraf Hakimi's cross.
Chelsea attempted a comeback towards the end of the first half, but Joao Pedro's 36th-minute effort and two consecutive chances from Cole Palmer and Jorrel Hato were thwarted by PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov. The score remained 2-0 at halftime.
