Sporting CP advanced to the quarter-finals after a 5-0 victory over Bodo/Glimt

 

  Sporting CP secured their place in the 2025/26 Champions League quarter-finals after turning things around against Bodo/Glimt.

The team nicknamed the Lions won 5-0 in the second leg and advanced with a 5-3 aggregate, which took place at the Estadio Jose Alvalade on Wednesday morning WIB, as reported on the official UEFA website.

Sporting went on the offensive from the opening minute, looking to overturn a three-goal deficit. They created several chances, but Bodø/Glimt goalkeeper Nikita Haikin was alert and made several crucial saves.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 34th minute. Goncalo Inacio headed Trincao's corner past Haikin, giving Sporting a 1-0 lead.

Bodo threatened just before halftime, but Odin Bjortuft's header hit the crossbar. The score remained 1-0 at halftime.
