Indonesian men's doubles badminton players Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin do not want to be burdened by being the only Indonesian representatives to reach the 2026 All England semifinals.In the quarter-finals at the Utillita Arena Birmingham, Birmingham, Saturday morning WIB, Raymond/Joaquin silenced the Chinese pair Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang in two straight games, 21-18 and 21-12.
"The pressure of being Indonesia's sole representative in the All England semifinals is certainly there, but we don't want to let it become a burden," said Raymond.
Raymond/Joaquin are the only remaining hope for the Red and White team in this BWF Super 1000 tournament after Indonesia's representatives in the women's singles, men's singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles sectors all failed in the quarterfinals.
