Speed climbing coach focuses on qualifying athletes for the 2026 Asian Games
Indonesian speed climbing coach Galar Pandu Asmoro emphasized that his team's immediate target is to qualify as many athletes as possible for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games (AG), through the qualifications held in April.

According to him, this focus is the main priority before thinking about long-term targets such as the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

"Regarding the target of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, I don't want to think too far ahead," said Galar at the Indonesian national climbing team training ground in Bekasi City, West Java, Wednesday (4/3) evening.

He explained that the coaching team and management of the national training camp (pelatnas) had agreed to concentrate on the agenda at hand.

He explained that the speed team only set a realistic target for the near future, namely performing optimally in qualifying to ensure a place in the 2026 Asian Games, in September.

Based on the current athlete composition, he is optimistic that the chances of qualifying Indonesian representatives in various speed competition categories are quite open.
