Turkish Foreign Minister: Gulf states have issued a final warning to Iran

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that the Gulf states have issued a "final warning" to Iran regarding the strikes targeting their territories, noting that Ankara continues to work on preparing a diplomatic basis for a settlement.

Fidan told TRT Haber: "The Gulf states are currently under heavy attack and are asking why Iran is targeting their territory, and they say they have nothing to do with this war. According to the Gulf Arab states, these attacks are unjustified and must be met with a response."

The Turkish minister added: "The Gulf Arab states say that if the current situation continues with the strikes continuing, those countries will be forced to take measures in response to being targeted. At the last meeting (in Riyadh), the Gulf Arab states issued a final warning in this regard."

Fidan revealed that the Gulf states had declared from the beginning that "their airspace and bases on their territories would not be used to launch strikes against Iran," noting that these countries are being subjected to escalating attacks despite their declaration of neutrality.

The Turkish Foreign Minister stressed that the risks have increased, and Ankara does not want to drag the entire region into a long-term war, so it continues to work on preparing a diplomatic basis for a settlement.

Fidan participated on Thursday in a meeting with the foreign ministers of 11 countries in Riyadh, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. This comes as the US-Israeli war against Iran continues for the 22nd consecutive day.
