Indonesian National Skateboard Team athlete Ni Wayan Malana Fairbrother advanced to the quarterfinals of the women's street skateboarding world championships 2025 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Malana made it into the top 10 by placing seventh in the qualifying round. She recorded a score of 33.44 to secure a place in the quarterfinals, according to World Skate.
On her first run, Malana kicked off her performance by conquering the downrails . However, she fell on the second downrail obstacle , leaving her with 11th place with a score of 14.42.
The silver medalist in the women's street event at the 2025 SEA Games Thailand then bounced back on her second run . She conquered each obstacle and wowed the crowd with a frontside flip.
Malana's brilliant performance was rewarded with a score of 33.44 by the judges, which immediately brought him to first place from 13th place in the first run.
Malana is certain to qualify for the quarter-finals even though there is still one group or heat left to compete, because it is in the top 10 until the final group.
