Budi Luhur University (UBL) is strengthening its athlete scholarship program to support the development of high-achieving students and contribute to improving national sporting achievements.
"This athlete scholarship is our mascot. Now the sports branches are quite complete, starting from badminton, pencak silat, volleyball, futsal, taekwondo, soccer, e-sports , basketball, karate, rock climbing, and archery," said Budi Luhur University Rector Prof. Agus Setyo Budi in a press conference.
He explained that student athlete scholarship recipients often contribute to national sporting achievements. He cited the recent achievement of archer Akhmad Khoirul Basith, who won gold at the 2025 SEA Games.
UBL students also frequently strengthen the contingent in various national sporting events, including the National Sports Week .
He explained that when the Provincial Government needs athletes for national competitions, his party is often asked to contribute athletes who have gone through the national selection process.
"If DKI Province needs athletes, for example for the PON, they usually contact Budi Luhur University to request their athletes' contributions, of course through a national selection process," he said.
