Putri KW challenges An Se Young in the quarterfinals of the 2026 All England
Indonesian women's singles player Putri Kusuma Wardani is looking forward to a duel against top seed An Se Young from South Korea in the quarterfinals of the 2026 All England Open after securing a place in the last eight.

Putri stepped into the quarterfinals of the All England Open after defeating South Korean representative Kim Ga Eun with a score of 25-23, 21-15 in the round of 16 at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham, England, Thursday local time.

"If I meet An Se Young, I definitely want to play with nothing to lose. I'm also curious because we've met several times and only managed to win one game," Putri said in an official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) after the match.

He added that he did not want to think too much about the match results and chose to focus on each rally that occurred on the field.

"I don't want to think too much. The important thing is to catch the shuttlecock before it falls," he said.

In the match against Kim Ga Eun, Putri admitted that she was quite satisfied with her performance even though she felt that her physical condition had not fully recovered after the previous match was only played up to 11 points.
