Weston McKennie has officially extended his contract with Juventus until 2030.
United States national team midfielder Weston McKennie has finally ended speculation about his future after officially signing a new contract with Juventus.

In a statement on the club's official website on Tuesday, Juventus confirmed that the 27-year-old's new four-year contract will keep him in Turin until June 30, 2030.

This contract extension also strengthens McKennie's relationship with the club he has played for for the past six seasons.

McKennie's previous contract was due to expire in June of this year, meaning he was free to open negotiations with other European clubs at the start of the year.

However, the former Leeds United loanee has opted to stay at Juventus after becoming a key figure in Luciano Spalletti's squad in recent months.

McKennie has been consistent throughout this season. Since last year's Club World Cup, no Juventus player has made more appearances, with a total of 38 matches and 34 starts.

In terms of contributions, McKennie has scored eight goals and provided five assists, with only Kenan Yildiz having a better record on the team with nine goals and seven assists.

Interestingly, the American player often plays in a variety of positions. He can play as a right-back and a central midfielder.

McKennie has also played several times as a right winger , left back, attacking midfielder, left winger , and striker to support Jonathan David, including when Juventus drew 3-3 against AS Roma in Serie A last weekend.

Juventus currently sits in sixth place in the Serie A table and is four points adrift of the top four with 11 games remaining.

The Bianconeri have also been knocked out of the Champions League after losing to Galatasaray in the playoffs, while Luciano Spalletti's future as head coach remains in doubt.
