University of North Carolina (UNC) star Caleb Wilson is expected to be out for the rest of the season after breaking his right thumb during team training.
The NBA website said Saturday that the injury could potentially be Wilson's final appearance at the college level, given that he is projected to be a top pick in the NBA Draft and will likely take the "one-and-done" route.
The college announced that the player had to undergo surgery after suffering the injury during a non-contact drill.
The injury came as Wilson was close to returning to action after previously suffering a fracture in his left hand.
He had previously started individual training, including dribbling and shooting, after removing the cast on his hand.
