Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) midfielder Rodrigo Gomes said that defensive discipline was the key to his team's 2-1 victory over visiting Liverpool in the 2025/2026 Premier League match.
"We defended very well. We were very compact and didn't give Liverpool many dangerous chances," Gomes said, as quoted on Wolverhampton's official website.
Based on records from the Premier League, Wolves were able to defend well in the match with a tackle success rate of 64 percent (16 times), while Liverpool's was 56 percent.
