Medical sources said that the bodies of 10 Palestinians and a large number of wounded arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah (central Gaza Strip), after a gathering of civilians was targeted east of the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip, without giving further details.
A medical source also reported the death of Palestinian Mohammed Daoud and the injury of a child, in an Israeli bombing that targeted a gathering of citizens in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in the north.
In the southern part of the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Majdi Aslan was killed and others were injured in a shooting that targeted several vehicles east of the town of Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Yunis (south), according to medical sources and eyewitnesses.
Later, medical sources and eyewitnesses reported that two Palestinians were wounded by Israeli gunfire in separate areas of the northern Gaza Strip.
According to eyewitnesses, the two injuries occurred in the Jabalia camp and the Beit Lahia club area, after the occupation army stationed at its deployment points opened fire towards the Palestinians.
East of Gaza City, a medical source and eyewitnesses said a Palestinian was wounded by gunfire from an Israeli drone in the Shaafout restaurant area of the Zeitoun neighborhood.
humanitarian work
In a related context, the Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed on Monday that the Israeli occupation army’s targeting of a vehicle rented for the World Health Organization while carrying out a routine mission in the southern Gaza Strip aims to undermine the work of humanitarian organizations and impose further restrictions.
The ministry said in a statement that it condemns the Israeli occupation army’s targeting this morning of a vehicle rented for the World Health Organization, which was carrying a number of its staff “while carrying out a routine work mission within the areas classified as green in Khan Yunis Governorate in the southern Gaza Strip.”
She stated that the bombing resulted in the death of the vehicle's driver, without disclosing his identity, and stressed that "the direct and deliberate targeting of health and humanitarian teams, without any justification, reflects the continuation of the occupation's policies aimed at undermining the work of humanitarian institutions and imposing further restrictions on their performance."
All international institutions were urged to provide full protection for workers in the health and humanitarian sectors, and to work to criminalize these violations "which are inconsistent with the principles of international humanitarian law."
On a daily basis, the Israeli occupation army commits violations of the ceasefire agreement by bombing and shooting, which has resulted in the martyrdom of 723 Palestinians and the injury of 1990 since it came into effect.
The agreement was reached two years after a genocidal war that Israel began in Gaza on October 8, 2023, with American support, and which continued in various forms afterward, leaving more than 72,000 martyrs and more than 172,000 wounded Palestinians, and widespread destruction affecting 90% of the infrastructure.
