The National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) is celebrating its 80th anniversary by promoting a spirit of collaboration to create strong cyber sovereignty and strengthen national resilience.
Head of BSSN Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Nugroho Sulistyo Budi stated that the institution he is guiding upholds the spirit of collaboration in the digital era as a form of adaptation to the times without eliminating the values developed by cryptographers from time to time.
"Cybersecurity isn't something a single entity can handle. It's a complex ecosystem. On a large scale, it involves countries, political circles, industry, and communities. And don't forget, there's another role: the media," Sulistyo said at the BSSN office.
It is hoped that this collaborative spirit can be carried out by maintaining the three main pillars emphasized in the theme of the BSSN's eight-decade celebration, namely "Cyber Sovereignty Strengthens National Resilience."
The three pillars in question consist of maintaining technological independence so that the nation does not depend on external parties, secondly, data security is a strategic national asset that must be protected, and system resilience and the ability to recover quickly from various threats.
