The Bengawan Solo Knights defeated the Tangerang Hawks Basketball Club with a narrow 100-98 victory in the 13th week of the 2026 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) at the Indoor Sports Center in Tangerang.
The visiting team, coached by Anthony Garbelotto, managed to secure two points away from home, to maintain their position in the playoff zone or the top eight of the current standings.
The club's trio of foreign players, namely Kentrell Barkley, Rayvonte Rice, and Chancellor James Gettys, were the driving force behind the victory for the club based at Sritex Arena, Solo City, Central Java.
Barkley recorded a double-double with 29 points and 16 rebounds , along with four assists . Rice and Gettys scored 22 and 23 points, respectively.
Two local players, Avan Seputra and Abraham Renoldi Wenas, also made significant contributions. They scored 14 and eight points, respectively, to help their team to victory.
On the home side, Jeanthal Cylla was the top scorer with 28 points, nine rebounds , and five assists . Meanwhile, the only local player who stood out was Sulthan Fauzan.
The shooting guard had 17 points, four rebounds , and one assist . This was a stark contrast to the other local players who played in the match.
In the first quarter, both teams played relatively evenly. The score margin was not significant, 29-26 in favor of Kesatria.
In the second quarter, the visiting team began to dominate the game through the movements of Barkley and Rice supported by Avan, resulting in a score of 58-40 until halftime.
After halftime , the hosts didn't let up. The squad, coached by Tondi Syailendra, began to find a good rhythm in front of their home crowd.
The combination of Cylla and Fauzan who scored points through three-point shots and two points through jump shots , raised the team's spirits.
Both of them managed to reduce the deficit to 77-82, aka only five points difference from the previous 18 points.
