Indonesian men's rock climbing athlete pair, Raharjati Nursamsa/Antasyafi Robby Al Hilmi, had to be satisfied with winning a silver medal in the speed relay category at the 2026 Sanya Asian Beach Games in China.
In the competition held at the Tianya Haijiao Venue Cluster, the pair lost against the host's representatives, Jianguo Long/Yicheng Zhao, in the final round.
The Indonesian representative recorded a time of 9.80 seconds, while his opponent was 0.05 seconds faster, recording a time of 9.75 seconds.
The journey of the two leading male athletes from the Red and White was very convincing before losing in the final round.
In the semifinals, they defeated Kazakhstan's twins, Rashid Khaibullin and Rishat Khaibullin. Raharjati and Robby recorded a time of 10.34 seconds, while their opponents clocked 12.12 seconds.
Furthermore, both teams have also performed impressively throughout the qualifying rounds, reaching the quarterfinals. The pair even finished first in qualifying.
Meanwhile, another men's pair from Indonesia, Aditya Tri Syahria/Ramaski Aswin Kristanto, were forced to stop their progress in the quarter-finals.
Both were defeated by Kazakhstan's representatives, Rashid Khaibullin/Rishat Khaibullin, who ultimately won the bronze medal in the semifinals.
